Eetbare beurre noisette kaars

Season :All Servings :4-8 Diet :Vegetarian, gluten free Time :+/- 4 hours Difficulty :Easy

The tastiest butter? By far, Le Gall's, real French butter! That's why I'm thrilled that we're collaborating for this new hosting series. We're kicking things off with a beurre noisette candle!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package of Le Gall churned butter with fleur de sel
  • A paper cup
  • Wick, without wax and metal base! (e.g., from a craft store)

PREPARATION

  1. Melt the butter in a small pan over low heat.
  2. Once the butter has melted, increase the heat slightly. After a while, bubbles and foam will appear; stir regularly and keep an eye on it.
  3. As soon as the butter starts to change color and smells nutty, remove the pan from the heat immediately. Skim off the remaining foam from the butter and pour it into a measuring cup. It’s important not to wait too long, or the butter will burn!
  4. Pour the beurre noisette into the paper cup and secure the wick in the center. Chill for a few hours in the fridge or freezer until the butter has solidified.
  5. Tear the paper cup off the candle and light it at the table. Serve with baguette and radishes!
