(Asian) butter molds

Planning a themed dinner? Then pour your butter into silicone molds that match the theme. I organized an 'ocean' dinner with, among other things, Asian butter shells, scallop shells filled with crudités, shells filled with sea salt, blue candles, wine glasses, napkins, etc. Go all out!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package @legallnl beurre de baratte with fleur de sel
  • 1/2 tsp. wasabi paste
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • 1 sheet nori
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. toasted sesame seeds
  • Silicone mold(s)

PREPARATION

  1. Melt the butter in a small pan
  2. Add the wasabi, lime zest, soy sauce, sesame seeds, and crumbled nori sheet, and mix well
  3. Pour the melted butter into the molds and let it set in the fridge
  4. In the meantime, set your table and voilà!
  5. Tip: This Asian butter is also delicious for cooking your vegetables (e.g. broccolini or green asparagus), fish, or steak
