King’s Day Snack Board

Season :Spring Servings :4-6 Diet :X Time :30 minutes Difficulty :Easy

This board is ready in no time, and all the ingredients can be found at the supermarket.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 block of aged crumbling cheese, broken into small chunks
  • ½ or whole Epoisses cheese (or another washed rind cheese)
  • 1 tub of orange veggie hummus
  • 2 large or several orange snack peppers, sliced into strips
  • 6 carrots, cut into sticks
  • 250g assorted snack tomatoes
  • 4 mandarins, halved
  • 1 bag of mixed scrocchi crackers
  • 1 pack of pizza waffle crackers
  • 1 bag of crispy snacks (spicy or mild)
  • 1 bag of Lay’s Sweet Sensations/paprika chips or other orange-hued chips
  • Cape gooseberries (optional)

Optional additions

  • Fried/baked snack mix
  • Orange-coated nuts
  • Orange-seasoned chicken wings
  • Dried apricots
  • Sweet potato chips
  • Roasted corn kernels
  • Orange melon

PREPARATION

  1. Scoop the crispy snacks and hummus into two small bowls and place them on the board.
  2. Place the Epoisses and aged cheese on two separate spots.
  3. Arrange the peppers, carrots, mandarins, and waffle crackers in groups of three around the board.
  4. Fill in the gaps with tomatoes, scrocchi crackers, and chips. Top off the board with some cape gooseberries.
